Beijing, January 22 (.). The Chinese Embassy in India organized a reception on the occasion of Chinese New Year at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, New Delhi. On this occasion, Charge d’Affairs Wang Lei participated in the ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 400 people attended it, including the Government of India, various parties, media and business world, diplomats in India, Chinese living and overseas Chinese, organizations with Chinese capital and students.

On this occasion, Wang Lei said that in the past year, the Chinese government faced change peacefully and adopted comprehensive measures. China’s total economic volume reached more than 1.3 trillion yuan for the first time, with a growth rate of 5 percent by 2023. The main goal and mission of economic and social development was successfully accomplished.

Wang Lei said China will persist in enhancing high-level opening-up and maintain the global free trade system and stability of industrial and supply chains, so as . move forward with various countries on the path of modernization.

Wang Lei further said that the year 2025 is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India. China is willing . work together with India . find a way for friendship between neighboring countries and safeguard peace and stability in border areas, so as . open a new chapter in China-India friendship.
