Water Assets Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary stated that the Western Kosi Canal Undertaking is a serious irrigation venture in Mithila. Western Kosi primary canal originates from the suitable head regulator of Kosi Barrage in Bhimnagar, Nepal. The scheme of Water Assets Division proposes for enlargement, restoration and modernization (ERM) work of Western Kosi Canal.
