US President-elect Donald Trump has shared two maps on social media displaying Canada as American territory. He posted the pictures hours after officers in Ottawa rejected his repeated declare that Canadians could be happier underneath US rule.
On Tuesday, Trump took to his Reality Social platform to share a map of the US and Canada as a single nation, with the state border erased and the phrases ‘United States’ superimposed on the brand new entity.
He then posted a picture of the territory of each nations painted within the colours of the US flag, accompanied by the phrases “Oh Canada.”
Chatting with reporters on Tuesday, Trump urged that the US might use “financial drive” to soak up its northern neighbor, whose items he threatened to hit with harsh tariffs.
“You eliminate that artificially-drawn line and also you check out what that appears like, and it could even be a lot better for nationwide safety,” Trump argued.
