Protests are happening in Bangladesh over a water-sharing dispute with India.

A decades-old dispute between India and Bangladesh revolves across the distribution of the waters of the transboundary Teesta River.

Bangladesh desires a bigger share than it at present has and is pushing for a billion-dollar megaproject to go forward.

However relations between Dhaka and New Delhi are at an all-time low for the reason that ousting of BangladeshтАЩs former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in August.
