Lucknow, January 3 (.). Yogi government has taken another initiative for the rejuvenation of Bundelkhand. Under this initiative, the government will build another link expressway connecting Jhansi and Jalaun. The government has already taken the initiative . connect Bundelkhand Expressway with Chitrakoot Link Expressway. The gift of Jhansi-Jalaun Link Expressway by the year 2024 will become another means of rejuvenation of Bundelkhand as per the concept of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The length of Jhansi-Jalaun Link Expressway will be about 115 kilometers. This will further boost the industrial eco system of the Defense Corridor. Besides, the attraction of investors will also increase in the industrial city being built by the government between Jhansi and Kanpur on 36 thousand acres, bigger than Noida, including 33 villages of Jhansi. For this, the government has also started the work of constituting Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA). The benefit of all this will be available . the nodes of Defense Corridor of Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Chitrakoot and Jhansi by getting direct and speed connectivity.
Similarly, after the 15.2 kilometer Chitrakoot Link Expressway is connected . the Bundelkhand Expressway, Chitrakoot’s tourism and Defense Corridor units . be established in this node will also get significant benefits.
It is known that Chitrakoot is the area where Lord Shri Ram along with Sita and Lakshman spent most of their time during their exile. Bharat also came here . convince him. In such a situation, it has great religious significance. A large number of devotees come here . see the places associated with Lord Shri Ram. Along with the development of Chitrakoot, the government has also connected it with the airport. Now with the improvement of road connectivity, tourist traffic in Chitrakoot will further increase. Due . strong connectivity, industrial environment will also be created rapidly in the Pharma Park being built on about 1500 acres in two phases in Lalitpur. Work on this has also started at a rapid pace. In this regard, about 70 percent of the villages whose land was identified has been acquired.
Jhansi-Jalaun Link Expressway, . be built at a cost of about Rs 1300 crore, will initially have four lanes. In future it can be developed up . six lanes. In this, the estimated cost of land acquisition itself is Rs 228 crore. The government has also sanctioned Rs 220 crore in two installments in this regard.
It is noteworthy that Bundelkhand and Purvanchal of Uttar Pradesh were left behind in the race of development. Development of both these areas is the priority of the Yogi government. The government has implemented a special industrial promotion policy for the industrial development of these two areas. For this reason, the government gives preference . both these areas as per the need in every scheme. For example, only the districts of Bundelkhand and Purvanchal are included in the UP Agrice Scheme for farming. Bundekhand is also becoming a hub of solar energy.
Electricity production has started in the solar park established by Avada Inda Company in Banda. Yogi government is also developing solar parks in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Chitrakoot and Jalaun. This will not only provide electricity but will also provide employment opportunities at the local level.
Apart from industries, lack of water has been a major reason for the backwardness of Bundelkhand and the problem of migration due . this. The government is continuously working . quench the thirst of fields and people. Along with completing a big project like Arjun Sahayak Canal, this government also completed about 5 . 6 dozen small and medium projects.
