The conflict in Gaza has killed about 17,500 youngsters since October 2023, most of whom have died in indiscriminate bombings. But a deeply unsettling subset of those deaths stands aside – youngsters arriving at trauma centres with gunshot wounds.
Medical doctors in Gaza report seeing these instances practically day-after-day. Their accounts, corroborated throughout hospitals and over time, counsel a disturbing sample. This isn’t random. It’s systematic.
This movie investigates these atrocities by the testimonies of healthcare staff from the US who witnessed them and tells the story of four-year-old Mira al-Darini. Mira was shot within the head outdoors her household’s tent in Khan Younis however survived in opposition to all odds, due to Dr Mimi Syed on her first mission to Gaza. Mira’s case isn’t remoted. American medical doctors describe treating dozens of youngsters with practically equivalent accidents, linking these horrors to the Israeli army, supported closely by US funding.
