Russian man detained on suspicion of excessive treason тАУ FSB – INA NEWS
A Russian man has been detained on suspicion of committing treason by working for Ukraine, RussiaтАЩs Federal Safety Service (FSB) has stated.
The suspect was reportedly photographing vitality infrastructure in Moscow Area and sending the photographs to Kiev, based on a press release launched by the company on Sunday.
The 41-year-old was allegedly working underneath directions from a handler in UkraineтАЩs Important Intelligence Directorate (GUR), who had promised him a monetary reward for gathering the knowledge, the assertion added.
The suspect and his handler have been speaking through the Telegram messaging app, based on the assertion. The person has been taken into custody, and the FSB has initiated a prison case towards him on costs of treason.
